The National Organisation of Asbestos Consultants (NORAC), of which we are a member, has issued new technical guidance across three areas of asbestos work: The Asbestos Register, re-inspection and the associated survey and report, and survey reports generally.
Asbestos Refurbishment / Demolition Surveys are legally required prior to any such work in non-domestic properties. Home owners may also require a Refurbishment / Demolition Survey if instructing a company to undertake works within a domestic property built before 1999.
Project management is a useful skillset in any scheme of work that differs from your usual day-to-day operations. It is therefore highly applicable to the survey, management, and potential remediation, or removal of asbestos.
Asbestos can be present in any building constructed prior to 1999. There are a huge number of different materials that can contain asbestos.
