Buildings built before 1999 can contain Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs).

We survey buildings to identify all asbestos present within the buildings, or within the project area under the agreed scope of works. Our highly experienced surveyors do not just look at buildings, but systems within them too. You’ll get peace of mind from having a comprehensive survey, uncovering any and all risks identified within the agreed scope, which will allow you to manage those risks.

Should suspect asbestos items be found, we will assess the material using the standard material assessment algorithm, which factors the product type, the condition, surface treatment, and asbestos type.  We also provide Priority Risk Assessments – standard for asbestos management surveys in occupied commercial / industrial premises.

For all asbestos items identified, we will provide guidance and recommendations to assist you to be compliant.  Environmental Inspection does not stop there either. We can assist with both short-term remedial works planning, and long-term management systems, as well as planned removal works to any scale.

You get impartial and independent advice, with us working for you.

If asbestos is suspected

Environmental Inspection does not just sample positive asbestos items; we also sample materials that could be misconstrued as being asbestos. This allows you to demonstrate the safety of your premises. All suspect materials, if safe to sample, will be sent to an independent UKAS accredited laboratory for analysis.
If it is a single sampling exercise (bulk sample), a certificate of analysis will be provided, stating the type of asbestos present, location, and product type.
If the samples are part of an asbestos survey, then we will provide you with a comprehensive report document, which is easy to navigate, and explains all of the items, positive and negative.

Your asbestos report

You will receive a detailed report of the results of your survey, and any subsequent analysis.
