Air monitoring may be required prior to, during, and on completion of the removal / remediation works of non-notifiable asbestos materials. It is strongly advised prior and during notifiable asbestos removal / remediation, to verify that no exposure has taken place or will take place, and to check that containment measures are adequate. It is also used on completion of the works to verify that the area is safe for re-occupation as part of stages 3 of the 4-stage clearance procedure. Air testing can only be carried out by a UKAS accredited analyst.
Environmental Inspection can advise on what is needed, the level of analytical cover that is required, depending on your situation, and advise on strategy for air monitoring. We can also help you to procure the right expertise, and manage the project.
