With two Health and Safety qualified consultants who have overseen major safety-critical projects, including asbestos removal, building refurbishment, and demolition, Environmental Inspection is widening its project management service.
Having managed projects on a scale of up to the late hundreds of thousands of pounds, Environmental Inspection is well placed to oversee projects that comprise both scale and complexity.
A recent project for a long-term client included stripping out materials (including a small amount of asbestos-containing materials) and rebuilding to suit a change of purpose. We oversaw the demolition of walls, a roof, and a small office within the building, also stripping out obsolete electricals, old flooring, and some unused plant.
We then managed the construction of a new storage facility including new brickwork and doorway, levelling and replacing 500m2 of flooring, new electrics including emergency lighting, and joinery, painting, and decorating.
Our construction and demolition project management services
The new service includes a wide range of construction and demolition project management overseen by a NEBOSH or similarly qualified Health and Safety professional. All sites will be given an asbestos survey if required. This is based on the property’s age which determines whether or not there is a potential for asbestos, as it was banned in all forms in 1999. All building work and related trades can be managed and the work fulfilled via our network of contacts or by tendering to get you the best available providers. We check all relevant credentials to ensure the right people are working at each stage of the project – some of which (like licenced asbestos removal or demolition) involve legal requirements to be met.
We will dispose of all construction waste responsibly, including any that contains asbestos.
We can manage demolition works, stripping out and refitting, building, joinery, plastering, electricals, painting, and all related trades.
Our experience covers complex industrial and commercial sites, transport infrastructure, train carriages, and listed buildings; even castles.
All work will include cost control and management, reviewing and ensuring suitable Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), documenting, checking, and signing off all work, and managing on-site works including coordinating the various contractors to minimise the impact of dependencies.
