There are two types of Asbestos Survey that Environmental Inspection can provide:
The Control of Asbestos Regulation 2012 (Regulation 4.3).
In order to manage the risk from asbestos in non-domestic premises, the duty holder must ensure that a suitable and sufficient assessment is carried out as to whether asbestos is present or is liable to be present within their premises. This is achieved by having an Asbestos Survey undertaken.
The type of asbestos survey that is required in this case is an Asbestos Management Survey which must be undertaken of the whole property. The aim of the Asbestos Management Survey is to identify all asbestos items which could be disturbed during normal occupancy of the property. Environmental Inspection can undertake an Asbestos Management Survey of your property and help you to be compliant with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012) Regulation 4.3.
The Control of Asbestos Regulation 2012 (Regulation 5).
This regulation requires employers to identify the presence of asbestos, including its type and current condition prior to any building, maintenance, demolition or other intrusive work, liable to disturb the asbestos. It also sets out the requirement to arrange an Asbestos Survey if existing information on the presence of asbestos in the premises is incomplete or appears unreliable.
The type of Asbestos Survey that is required in this case is an asbestos Refurbishment / Demolition Survey to satisfy the requirements of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR2012) Regulation 5. Environmental Inspection can undertake this asbestos survey specific to your project requirements and allow you to be compliant with this regulation.
All Asbestos Surveys are undertaken in line with current Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012), Health and Safety Executive Guidance HSG264: Asbestos the Surveyors Guide.
All samples taken by Environmental Inspection are analysed at an independent UKAS accredited laboratory.
